I'm at NAIST from April 2017.
I had been a researcher at NTT Communication Science Laboratories from April 2002 to March 2017.
I received the following degrees from Kyoto University: Bachelor of Engineering (2000), Master of Informatics (2002), and Ph. D. (2015)
I'm interested in natural language processing, especially in machine translation and spoken language.

I'm an enthusiast for cameras and fountain pens :-)

Recent Updates:

  • I'm going to ACL 2017 at Vancouver!
  • A co-authored paper "An Empirical Study of Mini-Batch Creation Strategies for Neural Machine Translation" has been accepted as a long paper by the 1st Workshop on Neural Machine Translation (and Generation), co-located workshop of ACL 2017. This work was done mainly by Mr. Makoto Morishita at NTT when he was a master course student at NAIST (and I was a researcher at NTT), under a joint research between NTT and NAIST.
